Obituary for Evelyn T Roberts

Roberts, Evelyn T. "Evie" - 84 years old, of Linwood, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.

She was born on May 29,1933 in Bargaintown to the late Charles and Gretchen Totoro. She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace H. Roberts. She was a longtime resident of Atlantic City and Northfield, before moving to The Village of Linwood.

Evie started her long secretarial career in 1950 with the Atlantic City Electric Company, then moved on to work for several physicians before returning to the Electric Company and retiring in 1982. After retirement she and Wally spent winters in Florida and a lot of time on the golf course. Evie loved her golf and volunteered with the LPGA for some time.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Melfi of Philadelphia; son in law Anthony Melfi whom she always considered a son; three grandchildren: Angela (Rick) Wilkins, Anthony (Valerie) Melfi, and Nina (Sos) Taulelei; and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Totoro; and niece Simone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 20th at 11:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 724 Maple Avenue, Linwood. A viewing will be held from 10am until the time of mass. Interment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
