Obituary for Robert Klein

Robert W. Klein, 82, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017.
Bob will be remembered for his sense of humor and positive attitude he shared with everyone he met. He enjoyed life to the fullest and especially his family. Family dinners and weekend get together’s were always very special in his mind. Travel was a priority and his retirement afforded Bob and his wife Betty the opportunity to see a great deal of the world. He loved his career and working with people. Bob entered the computer industry in 1960 working with main frames, followed by super computers, and finally networking products. Employers included RCA, IBM, Control Data, and Network Systems. He held various technical and sales/marketing positions including District Applications Manager, Regional Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, and VP of Sales and Marketing. His humor was a major asset in his business career. At one time he served on the Vestry and as Treasurer of an Episcopalian Church. More recently spent 3 years on the Board of Trustees in his community and wrote a humorous column in the community paper. He belonged to the Naval Reserve from 1952-1960, which included 2 years of active duty. Fishing was his primary hobby. Bob is survived by his wife Betty, four children Bob, John, Lauren and Jim, 6 grandchildren and a great grandchild. The “Great One” will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know him. He was an honest man.
