Obituary for Helen H Yates
Yates, Helen, 89 of Ocean City and formerly of Absecon, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014.
Helen was born in Philadelphia and moved to southern New Jersey when she married Robert Yates in 1945. Helen was meticulous about detail and managed the books for the family business in Absecon, Yates Gulf. In later years she became the student loan officer for Collective Federal. Helen was an avid golfer, and enjoyed cooking for the pleasure of her family.
Helen is survived by her son, Robert and daughter Kathleen Hanson (Gary). Helen has three grandchildren, Robert C. (Kathleen), Michael Hanson (Kathleen), and Lauren Ursone (Charles), and five great granddaughters.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 22, 2014 from 9:30am - 10:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Cabrini, 2nd and Atlantic Avenue, Ocean City. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
Contributions in Helen's memory may be made to The Shores Fellowship Fund, 2201 Bay Avenue, Ocean City, NJ 08226.
