Jeanne  Engelhardt (Lawrence)
Engelhardt, Jeanne (Lawrence), 90, of Pleasantville, and most recently Mays Landing, died peacefully on September 23, 2017, at Seashore Gardens Living Center in Galloway. Jeanne's inexhaustible kindness and love for her family helped define long and happy life.

She was predeceased by her parents John Lawrence, Felicia Lawrence Witek and step-dad, John Witek; her husband Robert Engelhardt; brother, Chester Lawrence; sister and brother in-law, Florence and Charles Perovich; mother in-law and father in-law, Frieda and Alfred Malz; and sister in-law and brother in-law, Ruth and Joseph Mufferi.

Jeanne was born in Ashley, PA and grew up in Duryea, PA, where she attended Duryea Public Schools. She met her husband Robert "Spongey" Engelhardt while on vacation in Atlantic City, and enjoyed a long and happy marriage. She worked at Home Beautiful in Atlantic City until the birth of their daughter.

Jeanne had been a member of "The Fire Ladies" from Firehouse #3 in Pleasantville and the Leeds Avenue PTA. She was an active member of the Epiphany Lutheran Church for 56 years where she was involved in the Altar Guild, Busy Fingers, Women of Epiphany, and the Friday Clean-Up Crew.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Joyce and Joseph Graumann of Mays Landing; two grandchildren, Joseph Graumann, Jr., of Marlborough, MA and Felicia Graumann of Philadelphia, PA; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 10 am, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 306 S. Franklin Blvd, Pleasantville, NJ 08232. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Epiphany Lutheran Church.
