Obituary for Clyde M Irwin Jr.

Clyde M Irwin Jr.
Clyde M. Irwin, Jr. “Bud”—husband, father, grandfather, naval man, carpenter, and collector of coins—died peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at his home in Galloway, N.J. at the age of 80.
Clyde was born in Somers Point, N.J. on July 31, 1934 to Helen and Clyde M. Irwin, Sr., the first of fifteen children: Pinky, Tiny, Margie, Jim, Bob, George, John, Charlie, Sue, Rick, Eddie, Linda, Dave, and Ginny. Clyde grew up and found his calling as a union carpenter and naval man. Love in the form of wife, Darlene C. Bruckler, took over his world, and he married her in 1963. Three wonderful children followed: Carol Irwin-Avellino (Joseph), Joseph C. Irwin (Renee), and Thomas J. Irwin (Angela). Clyde’s children eventually started families of their own, bringing more joy into Clyde’s life with six grandchildren: Falon, Aaron, Jenna, Magen, Aline, and Matthew.
“Bud” was an accomplished union carpenter and often assisted others with small tasks. He was a genuine individual who loved puzzles, tinkering, coin collecting, and his remote control, and will be remembered for having the most bikes in one yard at a time. Passionate about the United States and freedom, he became a dedicated member of the U.S. Navy and was a booster member and bartender at the V.F.W. in Pleasantville.
A funeral is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home in Northfield, N.J.. The viewing will take place from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.. Services will begin at 12:00 P.M. with a reception to follow at the Cardiff V.F.W. on Spruce Avenue at 2:00 P.M.. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Clyde’s life. The burial will take place Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing: all are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. The family would like to thank all caregivers and hospice staff for their efforts, care, and dedication during such a difficult time.
