Obituary for Josephine Vanore (Pagano)
Vanore, Josephine - 93 of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
Her life was devoted to family.
She was predeceased by her son, Harry Jr.
Loving wife to Harry for 73 years, loving mother to Harry Jr, Fred (and his wife, Jeannie) and Joseph. Encouraging grandmother to Jason and Damian. She treasured her five sisters and three brothers and their spouses, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
She worked as a supervisor for the University of Pennsylvania, was a leader for NAMI, and will be remembered for her efforts as a mental health advocate. Josephine also offered support to the Project for Independent Living, based out of Pleasantville, and was active in the development of fundraisers for the Sons of Italy.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish, 1421 New Rd, Northfield, NJ 08225. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness Atlantic County, PO Box 1557, Absecon, NJ 08201.
