Thomas John Quattrocchi
Quattrocchi, Thomas John - 74, of Egg Harbor Township passed away peacefully at home on August 5, 2016. Tom was born and raised in Cherry Hill, NJ where he graduated from Delaware Township High School in 1961. He was the son of the late Thomas P. and Aicelia M. (Testa) Quattrocchi. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 38 years, Laurie. His devoted daughters, Suzanne Griffin and her husband Chris, Anissa White and her husband Joe. His son and best pal, Thomas (Tommy) II. All of Egg Harbor Township, NJ. He was the best P-Pop ever to his 5 adoring grandchildren, Rhiannon Elizabeth White, Isabella Aicelia Griffin, Jacqueline Victoria White, Christopher Thomas Griffin and Logan Thomas White. His loving sisters, Jackie Quattrocchi and Vinci Lunt and his twin brother Herbie (Barbara). His many nieces and nephews and their families. Along with countless friends. Tom was a volunteer fire fighter with the Erlton Fire Company in Cherry Hill and was later elected to the position of Commissioner for the Fire Station. He was also very active with the local Jaycees. Tom spent almost 20 years in the mortgage industry before retiring. He was a big fan of Elvis Presley, John Wayne movies, NASCAR racing and Richard Petty. He never missed a Sunday race. But most of all Tom loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Family was his greatest love. Especially when it came time for holidays and continuing his Italian family’s traditions. Christmas Eve and the Feast of the Seven Fishes was always his favorite. Tom was extremely involved in the Autism community, devoting much of his time with his son, Tommy, who was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 4. They enjoyed participating in many activities together such as Field of Dreams, Hoops for All, Faces 4 Autism, The ARC of Atlantic County and Keys 2 cash 4 Autism just to name a few. He also loved to share his experiences and wealth of knowledge helping parents of newly diagnosed children and their families to begin their journey. Some of his proudest moments were watching his son participate with the Special Olympics Swim Team. Whether it was local meets in Ocean City, NJ or the State Competition every year at the College of NJ. Tom could walk into a room full of strangers and walk out with a room full of friends. He always had a kind word, a smile on his face and usually a few jokes. He will be missed by so many.
