Obituary for Mary Theresa Langone

Mary  Theresa  Langone
Mary Langone (Mahoney), 83, passed away and went home to be with our Lord on February 2, 2017.

Mary was born on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts and grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts until moving to New Jersey (EHT and Pleasantville) in 1955 to spend the next 62 years with her beloved husband, children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Mary loved to travel with her husband, family and friends. She was a devout Catholic and was involved in many charities and supported many missions. Mary was a schoolteacher at Pleasantville High School for many years until she finally fulfilled her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. She was a devoted nurse (she was referred as “Mother Mary”) and worked at Mainland Hospital for over 25 years.

Your love will always be in our hearts and your smile will always be remembered.

Mary is predeceased by her parents, Richard and Margaret Mahoney; brothers, Walter and Richard; and sister, Margie. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Vincent Langone, Sr.; her children, Anthony Langone (Noemia), Vincent Langone, Jr., Steven Langone, and daughter Linda Langone. She also leaves behind her grandsons whom she adored, Jerry (Mel), Joshua, Steven Portnoy; great-grandchildren, Lelia, Sophie and Mariam; sister, Pat; brothers, Ray and John; and many nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 724 Maple Avenue in Linwood, where a visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 10 until 11am. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing.
