McCunney, Doris Virginia, 93, of Margate City and Philadelphia, died Monday, April 3, 2017, at AtlantiCare Mainland Medical Center. She is survived by her son, Richard McCunney; her daughter in-law, Anne McCunney; her grandchildren, Alyssa DiRusso and Michael McCunney; and four great-grandchildren, Jason, Lila, Kathleen, and Bailey.

Born in Philadelphia on March 23, 1924, to the late Johann and Adolfine Haas, who emigrated from Austria in 1921. She was a banker for the First Pennsylvania Bank for 42 years, starting as a teller and rising to branch manager. She lived in Philadelphia before retiring to Margate City in 1983. She was an avid reader and delighted in celebrating any holiday with the appropriate Hallmark card to close family.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 10 am to 11 am, on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, in Northfield. A memorial service will follow at 11am. Burial will be private.
