Williams, John E., Sr. "Who-Who Pop" - 83 of Northfield, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017.

Born in Ocean City on October 4, 1933 to the late Thomas, Sr. and Florence Smith. John spent his childhood in Ocean City, where he was a lifeguard and mascot in his younger days. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the US Navy and then retired from Milton's Appliance Service, where he loved his job and second family. A proud husband, father and pop pop, his family and friends were his world.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Barbara Ann Williams (nee Ludwig); his children: John, Jr. (Donna), David, Sr. (Jeanne), and Karen Jones (Chip); grandchildren: Jeremy, Kimberly, David, Jr., Michael, Katie, Stephen, and Hannah; four great grandchildren; and his dog, Lacey.

John was predeceased by his parents, brother Thomas, Jr. and sister Marylou.

A graveside service will be held for family and friends on Thursday, June 8th at 1:00pm at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, 109 Blvd. Rt. 50, Mays Landing, followed by celebration of life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 5 Marvin Avenue, Linwood, NJ 08221 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
