Nathalie H. Parks of Pleasantville, 91, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at The Shores in Ocean City on Friday, June 2, 2017.

Daughter of Daniel and Nathalie Hallam (nee Christ), Nat was born and raised in Pleasantville where she spent most of her life. While married, she resided for ten years in Vineland, and has been a resident of The Shores at Wesley Manor since 2011. A graduate of the Pleasantville class of 1943, Nat worked for Guarantee Bank for a short period, and then continued her career as a repair service clerk for New Jersey Bell Telephone Company until her retirement in 1998.

Nat was a dedicated and involved member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Pleasantville where she served on Church Council and the Friday Cleaning Crew. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines, and the Pleasantville High School Reunion Committee.

She enjoyed gardening in her backyard, and was known as a shutterbug, snapping photos of any and all events she attended.

Nat, known as Nana to many, is survived by her son, Daniel G. Parks of Ocean City, grandsons, Joshua E. Parks (Jennifer) of Voorhees and Nathan D. Parks of Boston, as well as great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jaelyn. She is predeceased by her son, Kenneth E. Parks of Pleasantville.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 8th at 12:00pm at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 306 S. Franklin Blvd., Pleasantville. A viewing will be held from 10:30am until the time of the service. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Blanche Harffey Higher Education Fund, PO Box 741 Pleasantville, NJ 08232.
