Frank G Ahern

I got to know Dick when I was a TAG Manager on the Region 4 Technical Support Staff. He always had a great sense of humor and was very competent at his job. One day we were talking over coffee and Dick asked me "what do you want to be when you grow up?" I told him I wanted to be a "Pip" and be back up singer for Gladys Knight. I could wear a sequined Tuxedo and do the shuffle moves while admiring Gladys from the rear. He never let me forget that and we would crack up just looking at each other. Of course I would sing "Midnight Train to Georgia!" It was my honor and privilege to have known him and our friendship. Rest in peace Strockie!
