Kristy Erickson passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the young age of 37.

Kristy was born in Atlantic City and was a lifelong resident of the area. In 1997, she graduated from Absegami High School. Kristy worked with Integrity Transportation as a bus aide for disabled children. Her passion for children and education lead her to pursue a degree from Grand Canyon University in pre-K through grade 3 education. Kristy’s dedication to her studies was rewarded when she received the honor of being placed on the Deans’ list. Kristy was expected to graduate in the spring.

She is survived by her mother Sharon Bartolomeo, a brother Joe Erickson, uncles Bill Johnson, Greg Foster, and Mike Orr and aunt Tina Orr.

She is preceded in death by her father Joe Erickson, maternal grandparents Carol Lockerson and Harry Lockerson, paternal grandparents Gertrude and Donald Erickson and aunt Denise Foster.

Kristy loved Jesus. Her devotion to the church was evident in every aspect of her life. She sang in the church choir, volunteered in the nursery and attended services regularly. Kristy was not afraid of death because she knew that it meant she would be going home to be with God.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 15 at Green Tree Ministries. Viewing will be held from 9:30-11:00. A service will follow the viewing. Kristy will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Pleasantville.

In lieu of flowers,at the family's request donations can made to the funeral home to help with the cost of the funeral expenses.
