Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Fahamet Oden can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Fahamet Fatma  Oden
O​den, Fahamet Fatma (aka Fay), 75 of Northfield, lost her battle to cancer on July 13, 2017 at her residence in Northfield. Fay was born in Istanbul, Turkey and came to the United States 47 years ago. She lived in Northfield ​with her life partner of thirty years, John Delimitas​.​ ​

She was predeceased by her son, Hakan Akcakoca; and her brother, Celalettin Oden. Fay is survived by her daughters, Arzum (Pablo) Sanchez of Egg Harbor Twp., and Reyhan Akcakoca of Istanbul, Turkey; her brother, Hasan Oden of Istanbul, Turkey​; her grandchildren, Merve, Murat and Mert Ozturk of San Diego, and Elijah, Alexys, Haven and Jayden Sanchez of Egg Harbor Twp.; her nieces, Sebnem Oden of Washington State and Didem Park of Montana; her nephews, Sauvi Oden of Montana, Sener Oden of Istanbul, Turkey, and Nebil Oden of Northfield; and her life partner of thirty years, John Delimitas​.

She spent her early days working in food and beverage in various casinos and later, at ​managing ​Fay's Cafe in Longport. She also managed Poseidon Restaurant in Atlantic City.

She was an extremely strong woman and tremendously loved by all of her family. She worked very hard over the years and was always helping anyone that asked for or needed it. Fay loved going home to Istanbul, being with her family, especially her brother and her sisters in law.

She will be laid to rest on ​Saturday, July 22nd in her family's plot in Zincirlikuyu Cemetary in Istanbul, Turk​ey.​
