Moises Reyes Reyes, at the age of 80, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. He was born on August 26, 1937 in the Islote borough of Arecibo, Puerto Rico as the youngest of four siblings. On September 9, 1961, he married Feliciana Roman, commonly known as Chanita by family and friends. Together they recently celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Papa Moises, as we all called him, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and recently great grandfather. He is survived by wife Chanita, son Moises Reyes Jr. and daughter Ana Gladys Reyes; grandchildren Angélica, Moises Isaí, Geovanny, Alexandra, Valeria and great grandchild Daniel Jr.

Moises became a chef at St. Regis hotel in New York City, NY. After years of serving, he transferred his talents and skills to Cerromar Beach Hotel in Dorado, Puerto Rico where he finally retired after 35 years of faithful service. Moises was a leader, a dedicated man to his family and community and always willing to lend a helping hand. As an active member of the Catholic Charismatic group in Puerto Rico, he assisted and served to those in need. Also was a Eucharistic Minister. He never lost faith even after he became ill.

His viewing will be held on the 10th of November at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parrish, located on 1421 New Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. A Spanish-Speaking mass will be held on his behalf at 10 a.m. Afterwards we will be traveling to his burial. (Seaside Cemetery Co. 559 Rte Us 9 N, Marmora, NJ 08223)
