The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dorothea Hanlon can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dottie and Jack as well, were dear family friends. My Mom, Barbara met her many years ago when her and Jack were in Hawaii and were good friends from then on. In today's world they communicated the old fashion way, they wrote letters and cards for more than 50 years. And talked on the phone often. A lost art these days. She had the most unique way of writing that still fascinates me and my parents today. I know my Mom will miss her but she had said that Dottie commented often about how much she missed Jack and now they are together again.

I'm hoping that someone could get in touch with me via email. My Mom was pretty upset when correspondence stopped and the only way we knew anything was from me googling. Any further information would be greatly appreciated. (tammi.coxe@philamuseum.org)

Condolence: Dorothea Hanlon was truly a Lady. She could be a force to be reckoned with when her passions for "Doing the right thing" could knock down the strongest barriers. She was a dear friend to my Parent's and a good friend to me. Dorothea, known to her friends as "Dottie" will truly be missed here on Earth, but I know she will be greeted by many Friends and Loved ones in Heaven. She was a Caring Person, a Gracious Lady and I was truly glad she was my friend. I'll Miss you Dottie! Robin
