Brookes, Benjamin, Jr., 78 of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on February 1, 2018.

Born in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, PA on June 15, 1939, Ben served 31 years as a Philadelphia Firefighter, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He was born to Benjamin Brookes, Sr. and Elizabeth Brookes (nee Simpson). He is survived by his loving wife, Irene Brookes (nee Greis); his five adoring children: Benjamin Brookes (April), Jacqueline Melendez (Anthony), Michele Brookes, Kathleen Peterson (Albert), and Jennifer Powell (Alan); his four grandchildren, Daniel Bartles, Christopher Bartles, Stephanie Powell, and Danielle Powell; three great grandchildren, Mia Mercado, Jenna Bartles, and Matthew Bartles; and large extended family.

As per Ben's wishes, there will be no services.
