Obituary for Laura Bell

Laura Bell
Bell, Laura Ella, 91 of Margate, Florida, formerly of Bargaintown, New Jersey, would like you to know that her work here is done! She received a call, an offer she couldn’t refuse and on March 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family, went to spend eternity with her loving husband, Irv, many family members and friends who went before her, but most importantly her Lord and Savior, whom she spend a lifetime loving and serving. Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Laura was predeceased by her husband, Irven Bell and her son Irven Jackson Bell, II.

One of the greatest decisions Laura ever made was to marry her childhood sweet heart, Irven Bell, on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1943, in what would be a 73 year love affair, which now continues as they stroll in heaven together once again!

But what defined Laura’s life most, was the love she had for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her unconditional giving heart, and the unconditional love she showered on family, friends and strangers, although to those that knew Laura, knew there were no strangers, everyone was greeted with her warm smile, sparkling blue eyes and a great big hug! No exceptions!

The work that was most precious to her was the years she spend serving the Lord next to Irv at Cardiff Baptist Church from 1964 to 1987. Where she taught Sunday School, organized Vacation Bible School, sang in the choir, visited the sick, held the dying, and did whatever God called her to do. In her later years, Laura, with her longtime love Irv, moved to sunny South Florida where they remained active in the ministry by leading the senior bible study at Victory Life Church.

Laura will be interred, with her beloved, Irv, at the military cemetery located at 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, Palm Beach County, Florida. A service of remembrance will be held for Laura at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, in Northfield, New Jersey on April 21, 2018, where there will be a gathering with the family at 1:30 pm, with the service beginning at 2:30 pm

Laura is survived by her daughters, Debbie Bell and Beth Ann Parker (Bell), her grandchildren, Laura Jean Bell, Irven J. Bell, III, John Bell, Donna Bell, Eric Boudreaux, Rachel May (Boudreaux), Sean Boudreaux, Shannon Boudreaux, Matthew Parker, Christina Parker, Debby Parker, and William Parker, many great-grandchildren, her sister, Ella Belcher (Cannon), many brothers in law and sisters in law, and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Vitas Hospice or the Atlantic City Rescue Mission.
