My grandpa

My grandfather basically raised me when my mom had to work from the time that I was born tell my teen years my grandfather was a big influence in my life. He always showed me how to have fun without spending money. He was always there for me. I cannot remember a memory without him in it. From going and collecting cans to make money to selling bus tickets with him. I'll never forget all the amazing army stories and how his dog Rexy would come running after him when he came home from the war. I'll never forget him tucking me in at night and telling me that he loves me and he would sing to me. I'll never forget Christmas with him and Thanksgiving at Uncle Mike's house. My grandfather was an amazing man and was loved by many. Grandpa had so many friends and he loved so well. My cousin Albert and I were the luckiest grandkids in the whole world because we had him as our grandfather. I still cannot believe he didn't make it to 100. I remember being 7 years old and I told Grandpa he cannot die until he turns 100 and he promised me that he wouldn't. I am so proud to be his granddaughter and I will always miss him. And his great-grandchildren will know how amazing their great-grandfather was and maybe I can tell the stories that he told me the child and bring him to life. Grandpa I love you with all my heart and I will miss you every single day for the rest of my life take care of Grandma Ethel up there and also take care of Uncle Mike and aunt Lena. I love you and will miss you forever Grandpa. Save a place for me
