Doris M. "Monica"  Harrington (Walsh)
Doris M. Harrington (“Monica”) (Nee Walsh) of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Doris is predeceased by her husband Robert W. Harrington, daughters Dale Snowden and Loreen Dunlap, her mother Mary (Hudak) Walsh, father Daniel Walsh, brother Edward Walsh, sisters Elizabeth Guttman, Irene Ortutay and Patricia Tyrrell. Doris is survived by her loving sister Marion Laszewski of Chesterfield, VA, her loving daughters Denene Draper (Charles) of Ventnor, Barbara Carty (Tim) of Mays Landing, her loving grandchild Jacquelin Harrington whom she raised as her own, her son-in-laws Nelson Snowden and Tim Carty, 12 beautiful grandchildren, 14 beautiful great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, cousins and host of other family.

Doris grew up in New York and went to secretary school. She loved office work. She worked in the finance department at Spencer Gifts and the casinos as well as on the casino floor. Doris was an incredibly strong woman who worked hard and was always there for her family. She really enjoyed her retirement. She loved to go to the casinos and play the slots with her sister, watch sci-fi horror flicks, cuddle with her doggie Calypso, play her computer games, eat lobster and stuffed mushrooms, red solo cups and her bloody mary’s. Her purpose in life was to help others any way she could and she will continue as our angel. We LOVE you Monica! The family wishes to thank Woodview Estates for their loving care.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 11am until 1pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road in Northfield and on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 10-11am at St. Joseph Church, 606 Shore Road in Somers Point with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am. Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing.
