Robert B  Bateman Sr.
Bateman, Sr., Robert B., 87 of Green Creek, formerly of Somers Point, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Born and raised in Collingdale, PA, where he graduated Collingdale High School. He was a World War II veteran in the US Army. Robert was an elder at Linwood Gospel Chapel, since its founding in 1965. He touched many lives over time and was a shepherd to many in his ministry.

Robert was predeceased by his wife, Grace. He is survived by his daughters, Beverly Lamason and her husband, James, of Middlesex, and Alice Henry and her husband John, of Green Creek; son, Robert Bateman and his wife Lori, of South Plainfield; grandchildren, Heather, Christina, Michelle, Stephen, and Michael; great-grandchildren, Eddie, Savannah, and Lily; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A viewing will be from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, in Northfield. A service will follow at 11 am. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery, in Egg Harbor Twp, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Linwood Gospel Chapel Missionary Fund, 900 New Rd, Linwood, NJ 08221.
