Obituary for James F Troller Jr.

James F Troller Jr.
Troller, James F., Jr., 50 of Mays Landing, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer after a very courageous fight. Jim's kindness, humor, and generosity, along with his impeccable manners, will be lasting memories for all who knew him.

Jim was born on March 31, 1964 in Atlantic City Hospital to James and Katherine Troller, Sr., who preceded him in death. Jim enjoyed baseball and football in his youth for the Linwood Panthers. Later in life he became an avid golfer and enjoyed landscaping. He learned the carpentry trade from his beloved father and had the privilege to become a brother in Carpenters Local 623. Later, Jim opened his own construction company, James Troller and Sons Construction. Recently he worked as a foreman for SKG Landscaping and Construction, which he helped found, until a couple of months before his death.

Jim leaves behind his two sons, Christopher James and Nicholas Tyler, who were his inspiration for what would be the fight of his life. Diagnosed 21 months ago and given only three months to live, Jim fought cancer with all his heart and soul in order to stay with his beloved family. His son Christopher was not only his son but his "bestest of all his friends". With Nicholas, Jim taught his son the carpentry trade and as they worked side by side, they grew a bond for which the saying "Troller Strong" was born. "Troller Strong" would become their new family motto and would be the reason for the tattoos the boys would now wear on their bodies.

Jim met the love of his life, Tracey Ireland, when she was just 14. Through good and bad times their bond never faltered. The family recently spent their last family vacation together in the Catskills, NY, and had the time of their lives.Tracey and Jim spent 30 years of life and love together.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Ireland; his favorite sister-in-law, Donna Ireland; as well as his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Tracey; sons Christopher and Nicholas; and daughter Nicole (Coletrain). He was blessed with three grandchildren, and his loving dog, Coco Chanel, who rarely left his side.

Jim also leaves behind his sisters and caregivers: Katherine Cavanaugh (Brian) and Carol Enright; sister Debra Miron (David); sister-in-law Peggy, Bobby (Pat), Tony, and Johnny. There are many nieces and nephews that will forever remember their uncle Jim; as well as a long list of friends, especially Steve.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. A visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be held privately.

As his final request, Jim would like everyone to let their loved ones know that you "love them to the moon".
