Obituary for Sandra Fry

Sandra Fry
Sandra Louise Fry (nee Fox), loving wife of Albert Fry for 51 3/4 years, moved to her heavenly home to be with her Lord on December 1, 2014. Born January 23, 1941 in Sellersville, PA to Katherine and Philip Fox, she spent her childhood in Hatfield, PA. After graduating in 1958 from North Penn High School, she attended Grandview Hospital School of Nursing, the hospital where she was born. She proudly became an RN in 1961. She then followed her family to Ocean City, NJ and became employed by Atlantic City Medical Center where she helped to open the first Intensive Care Unit as head nurse. Through the flip of a coin, she met her partner for life, Albert B. Fry, who she married in 1963. She took a career hiatus to raise their 3 children, Carrie, Paul & Sally, before becoming employed by EHT High School in the nurses office for 19 years until 2005. She continued her involvement as a substitute nurse in the EHT school system until early 2014, when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Even in the face of her illness, she remained an encouragement to those she loved, trusting in God to comfort her and to reward her life of dedication and service to Him. Sandy will be remembered as a person who didn’t like to miss anything – always on the go, helping others, and enjoying the life she was given. Her vibrant spirit took her to destinations worldwide with her friends and family – she loved to share her adventures with others! As such, she leaves behind an infinite trail of people who have been positively impacted by her generous and loving attitude.

Remembering her with unending love are her husband, Albert, their three children and spouses, three beloved grandchildren (Britton, Samantha & Zachary), three Fox sisters, and many friends.

Services are planned for Saturday, December 6th at Greentree Church in EHT beginning at 10 AM with family visitation and followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sandy Fry Memorial Fund will be graciously accepted and will be given to a charity held dear to Sandy. Donations may be sent to the Fry household or mailed to: Ocean City Home Bank, 331 Tilton Road, Northfield, NJ 08225.
