My Daddy

My Dad was a great man! He would do anything for anyone. When I was in fourth grade, I was in the car with my friend and her family driving down west jersey ave.I saw my dad on a tractor cutting someone's lawn.I couldn't figure out who's house it was or why he was there. That night when he came home, I questioned him about it.He told me one of his customers had passed away and he noticed his widow needed her lawn cut. That's when i realized how kind and caring my dad actually was.

My father taught me many things. How to tie my shoes at Grandmom Sutton's house. After rigging my bike pedals with blocks so I could reach, He taught me to ride my bike. He rode around the block with me a few times but never said how to stop...LOL

He showed me how to solder pipes and I did all of them in the upstairs bathroom.Together we did many things from building a picnic table for me, fishing in brigantine and giving other fishermen our left over minnows, watching the windsurfers at the sand castle and my favorite, as an adult going out for the day and our every day phone calls, which I will miss the most!!!

He made sure my Mother,Jeni,Me,Crystal and Taylor had whatever w needed. He NEVER let any of us do without! If he over heard one of us saying we needed something, he would have it the next day and would fight you to take it.

I won't forget how he loved to play jokes on everyone.Chasing me around the house with a scary mask or having his brithe dress n a gorilla suit and come to our bedroom to scare me and Jeni...TWICE.He would laugh so hard!

He was such a smartass that was so quick with his words.I don't know what the telemarketeters are going to do without him calling them back.

I know your up there with Mommy, family and friends. Doing the things you couldn't for the past few years. I'm sure everyone in heaven is enjoying you and all the laughs and jokes that your pulling!

I'm so thankful for everything you have done for me and taught me!  We all are so lucky to have had such a beautiful person in our lives!!! Most of all I want to thank you for being my friend and a Dad to be proud of!!!

I will miss you forever and love you always Daddy!!!

Our chain WILL link again!!! xoXox
