Obituary for Anthony Gaitanos
Gaitanos, Anthony - 78 of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
Born in Rodos, Greece, he joined the Greek Army at 17, and later married his wife, Maria, in 1957. In 1967 they came to America with their two daughters, settling in Atlantic County.
Anthony worked at Caesars Hotel and Casino for many years as a kitchen supervisor. He loved fixing watches, fishing, and spending time with his grandson.
He was predeceased by his brother, George Gaitanos. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maria; his two daughters, Ourania Nottingham and Katherine Fruscio (Ray); his grandson, Raymond Fruscio; and his siblings, Lefty Gaitanos and Irene Wallace.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 7004 Ridge Avenue, Egg Harbor Township. A viewing will be held from 10:30am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memorial Park, Mays Landing.
