Obituary for Daniel Allen Pancoast
Pancoast, Daniel Allen 98 of Somers Point passed away after a short illness surrounded by his family Wednesday, Aug. 19th at Linwood Care Center.
Daniel worked as a Chief Engineer at Betty Bacharach Rehab Center when it opened in 1970 and was also the Chief Engineer at the Flanders Hotel in O.C. He then opened the Playboy Hotel & Casino as Chief Engineer and finished his career at the Convention Hall in Atlantic City. He was a member of the Local 68. As a young man he worked as an Airplane Mechanic during World War II at Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia.
Daniel is predeceased by his wife, Doris T. and his grandson, Brendan R.
He is survived by his children; Doris Rockelman (Thomas), Regina Monahan (John), Judith Carey (William), Joan Dwyer ( Kevin), Daniel Pancoast (Donna), twenty grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11am at St. Josephs RC Church Shore Rd. Somers Point. A visitation will be held at 10am til the time of the mass. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Humane Society of Ocean City 1 Shelter Road, Ocean City, NJ 08226.
