Overton, Isaac L., Jr. "Ikee/Zeke" - 69 of Egg Harbor Township, departed this life on March 16, 2016 after a short illness at AtlantiCare Medical Center, in Pomona.

Ike was born on January 2, 1947, to the late Isaac L. and Audrey (nee Hall) Overton. Ike attended and graduated from the Pleasantville school system. He was lastly employed and retired from the Pleasantville Board of Education. Ike was drafted into the U.S. Army and served his country well during the Vietnam Conflict where he was promoted to Sergeant. He also served as a member of the Army National Guard. Ike received numerous awards and was very proud of his accomplishments.

He was and avid bowler and golfer, and loved to play pool and baseball. Ike was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where he worked diligently for many years on the Trustee Board, Male Chorus and the Hospitality Ministries.

Ike is survived by: his sisters, Paulette Dixon (Major), Virginia Beach, Va., Grace Green, Pleasantville, and Linda Overton, Atlantic City; one brother, Richard Overton, Pleasantville; two uncles, Earl Farrow, Pleasantville, and Herbert Overton, Elizabeth City, N.C.; and a host of nieces, and nephews. He also leaves to cherish his memory a special friend, Susan Johnson; and his good, faithful and trusted friend, Ethel Seymore.

Ike was predeceased by his parents, Isaac and Audrey Overton; and his brother, Colista (Gene).

Graveside services for Ike will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11am at Seaside Cemetery in Marmora, NJ , Officiated by the Reverend John H. Martin, Jr.
