George Homa, 84, of Ocean City, New Jersey (born in Trenton, New Jersey) passed away on February 17, 2017, surrounded by loved ones and grand-puppies. Our father was the most compassionate, caring person.
A retired New Jersey State Trooper, badge #1506, Detective Sergeant First Class, created the Composite Sketch Department for the State Police, an amazing talent which captured many criminals. After retirement, George worked for the Division of Gaming Enforcement in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
He loved gardening, the best Jersey tomatoes ever, playing the lottery, fishing, hunting, sketching and having a daily glass of wine. He was always there for anyone in need. He loved his family, friends and co-workers.
George is survived by his sister, Mary Marcinkowski of Trenton; three daughters, Kelly Maria Homa-Cannuscio of Mays Landing, NJ., Stacy Maria Homa of Linwood, NJ. and Shawn Maria Zenga of Fort Lauderdale, FL.; three grandchildren, Isabella Cannuscio of DE., Anastasia Cannuscio of DE. and Domenic Zenga of Fort Lauderdale, FL.; and his two grand-puppies, Bowie and Max.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a visitation at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road in Northfield, on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 6-8pm. Another viewing will be held on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 from 10am til 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows RC Church 724 Maple Avenue, Linwood. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
