Obituary for Miriam Daune Hodsdon (Jensen)
Hodsdon, Miriam Daune - 62 of Somers Point, went home to be with the Lord on May 14, 2016.
Born in Wichita Falls, TX, she is the daughter of Larry Neal Jensen (FL) and the late Mary Carolyn Jensen.
She was a graduate of Stadium High School in Tacoma, WA, class of 1971 and proud member of the Marching Band. Before her illness, Daune was employed at O’Brien’s Office Equipment in Absecon as the Office Manager for 28 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Northfield for 33 years. A proud Band Mom and member of the Mainland Band Boosters, which later evolved into the “Clique”.
Daune is survived by her children, Michael Hodsdon (Kim) of EHT, Meagan Hodsdon (Fiancé Michael) of Somers Point, and Maren Hodsdon of Somers Point. By her sister, Valerie Jo Carroll (Roger), and brothers Russell Jensen (Cindy), and Charles Jensen, all of WA. By her beloved Grandchildren, Tyler, Gregory, and Grace, and many family members and friends.
A gathering of friends and family will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 18th, with services starting at 11:00 AM at the Church of Christ, 2535 Shore Road, Northfield.
In lieu of flowers, Daune would have loved a donation made in her memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
