Obituary for Wayne Turner

Wayne Turner
Wayne A. Turner, age 74, residing in Bargaintown, passed away on September 27th. He was the last original resident on Mill Road. During his teenage years, Wayne enjoyed cruising with his ’58 Chevy, challenging others at Bens and Drums. The majority of his working years were with the Atlantic City Race Course, working as a laborer, and was a retired member of the Local Union 172. He was a proud member of the National Guard during the Vietnam era. His favorite pastimes included going to antique car shows with the South Jersey Classic Muscle Car Club, hunting with the Clover Gunning Club, and spending time with his many friends. Every summer, Wayne always looked forward to seeing his family—including many cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends—at an annual barbecue. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Judy, his daughter, Michele, and son-in-law, Pat, his son, Craig, and his three grandchildren—Monica, Sara, and Sean. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 30th, from 6-8 pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, New Road, Northfield. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 10-11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Linwood, NJ, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am. The burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Bargaintown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675
