Long, Raymond D. , 68 of Egg Harbor Township passed away at his home on December 25th, 2016.

Ray was born in Jersey City and graduated from Emmerson High School in Union City. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1968 and served his country during the Vietnam War, being awarded with a Cross of Gallantry and Purple Heart. Ray has been a resident of Egg Harbor Township since 1970 and was a very well-liked and personable member of the community. He had a heart of gold. Poppy dedicated his love and time to his four children and seven grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Ray is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda of Egg Harbor Township; his children and their spouses, son Raymond & his wife Johanna of Los Angeles, CA, daughter Jennifer and Sean, son Jason & his wife Jasmin of Egg Harbor Township, daughter Colleen and her fiancé Steven of Galloway Township; and Poppy to seven grandchildren, Julianna, Mackenna, Athena, Abigail, Ethan, Liam and Keira.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am, on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, 146 S. Pitney Rd, Galloway, NJ 08205. A viewing will be from 9am until the time of the Mass. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ.
