Obituary for John Giemza

John  Giemza
Linwood, NJ – John Giemza passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 28th with his loving wife and precious dogs by his side. John is survived by his wife, Jeanette Giemza (née Price), nephew and niece Jack & Christina Price, step daughter, Debbie Calvert and her husband Al, his brother in law and his partner John Price & Becky MacMillan, and several other nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his daughter Mary Lynne, brother Michael and sisters Annie & Marie. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially Phyllis Crawford, Chester Malloy and the entire Circle Liquor Store family. John grew up in Philadelphia, the son of Joseph & Mary Giemza. John was a Navy veteran of World War II where he received the Pacific Theater, American Theater & Philippine Liberation Ribbons. He was a manager at Circle Liquor Store in Somers Point since 1962 and a proud owner for over 25 years. He won the national retailer of the year award in NJ, was a dedicated and very hard worker and developed his business into one of the finest stores in the state. John shared a passion for travel with his wife and relaxing on the beach in Anguilla. He was an extremely generous man who was constantly helping and making donations in his community. His love for others and his generosity were never ending.

A visitation will be held this Friday, February 3, 2017, from 5-7 PM at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ. There will also be a visitation Saturday, February 4, 2017, from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church, 724 Maple Avenue, Linwood, NJ followed by a mass at 10:30 AM. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5061 Harding Highway, Mays Landing, NJ following mass.
