Obituary for Ralph Platt

Ralph Platt
Platt, Ralph, Jr. "Rip", 56 of Egg Harbor Township, passed away from a sudden illness on May 18, 2017 in Dover, DE.

He was the son of Ralph, Sr. and Carol Platt. He graduated from Absegami High School in 1979. Ralph was employed at Dover Downs Casino in Delaware and formerly at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City. Before casino days, he was in the dry-wall business. He loved doing side jobs for friends and was always willing to help someone out. He had a quiet, laid-back personality with a great sense of humor, which provided his family with many funny stories! He enjoyed playing pool and always had an interest in reptiles. He loved all family functions and watching Sunday football with his dad. He especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Sharon Carfagno (Joe), Susan Reiter (Tim); his brother, Steven (Wendy); nieces and nephews, Christi, Gina, Gerhardt, Hildi, Remington, and Addison; and great nephew Knoxley.

A gathering will be held on Thursday, May 25th from 10:00am until 11:30am at the Church of St. Katharine Drexel, 6075 West Jersey Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be held privately.
