Obituary for William Philip Weber Sr.

William Philip  Weber Sr.
William P. Weber Sr. of Egg Harbor Township, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Son of the late Frank and Marjorie Weber, Bill was born in Atlantic City and raised in Absecon. He graduated from Pleasantville High School, class of 1951. Bill proudly served in the US Army in the Korean War and was honorably discharged with the rank of Master Sergeant. After returning from Korea, Bill worked in the family trucking business for many years before making a career change and becoming a bookkeeper.

Bill loved time with family, especially summer barbecues, Thanksgiving dinner and the annual Easter egg hunt. He also enjoyed being outside and working in the yard. He was a warm, loving, and very proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Theresa "Terry" Weber (Mulready); children, William Weber, Jr. (Lisa), Judith Scarborough (Bob), Daniel Weber, and Andrew Weber; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, John Weber and Harry Weber; and sister, Marjorie Hastings (Lee). He was predeceased by his son, Robert Weber; daughter, Patricia Carmen; brothers, Frank Weber, Jr. and James Weber; and sister, Elizabeth Carlson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am, on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Our Lady of Sorrows, 724 Maple Ave, Linwood. A viewing will be from 9:30 am until 11 am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ARC of Atlantic County (6550 Delilah Rd # 101, Egg Harbor Township) or Easter Seals (535 Tilton Rd, Northfield). The family would also like to extend their thanks to Spring Village at Galloway and Grace Hospice for their loving care of Bill.
