Obituary for Maria Layden (Falcone)
Layden, Maria (Falcone), 70, of Egg Harbor Township, went home to the Lord, surrounded by her family, on Monday, January 15, 2018 following complications from emergency surgery.
Maria was born in Atlantic City and graduated in 1966 from Atlantic City High School. She spent much of her life as a resident of Brigantine, where she loved the beach. Having recently retired from Boscov’s, she was enjoying watching old movies, shopping and especially playing with Jasper, the family dog.
Maria was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Larry Layden. She is survived by her mother, Gloria Messina (Tony); her sisters, Cookie Riley (Bob), Patti Lisk (John); brother, Ricky Smith (Clair); and her daughter, Stacey Jewell (Elwin) with whom she resided.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10am until 11am, with a service at 11am, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road in Northfield. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
