Early NAMI memories

When I first joined NAMI in 1994, I remember Jo very well. She was a very patient person and always had good advice to give. At that time I was just coming to terms with my daughter's Mental Illness. I would get angry and lose my temper, but I don't think Jo ever did. When asked for, she always seemed to have good ideas for how I could help my daughter. I was on the board of directors with Jo and she is one of the reasons I got more involved. Jo & Harry always came to NAMI events and often helped to plan them.

I am now President of NAMI Atlantic/Cape May and all of us extend our condolences to the Vanore family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.

Sincerely,

Gail Dembin
